Lloyd Roberts – Men’s Captain
It is a great privilege to have been selected to represent Ombersley as Club Captain for the 2026/27 season. I hope to build on the excellent work of David Mitcham over the past two seasons. My aim is to promote the club at every level and to ensure that competitive play is fair, inclusive, and accessible to as many members as possible.
I can still hear Graham’s words ringing in my ears: the captain’s role is primarily about “atmosphere and attitude.”
That will be my guiding mantra throughout the year. We will continue to support the Air Ambulance. Our second charity will be Macmillan Cancer Support, which plays a vital practical role in supporting people living with cancer. I look forward to the year ahead and to working with you all to make it a positive and enjoyable season.
